Storing and handling Ouabain

Reactivity

When heated to decomposition, OUABAIN emits acrid smoke and fumes. Hydrolysis yields one mole ouabagenin and one mole rhamnose. Stable in air, but affected by light (ouabain octahydrate) [EPA, 1998].
